Overview of Search Process
Step 1 – Onboarding process and getting to know you

The church will respond to a survey that will be shared with Chemistry Staffing.

The elders will respond to questions related to Theology, Church Culture, Personality, and skills and abilities.

This will create what is called the Church Candidate Profile.
Step 2 – Church Candidate Profile Created

Final editing is done with the Elders.
-
The final copy of the Church Candidate Profile is approved.
Step 3 – Position Goes Live

Chemistry Staffing begins their marketing effort.
Step 4 – Candidate List and Vetting

Chemistry compiles a list of top candidates.

A series of interviews are conducted and vetting takes place.
Step 5 – Pastor Search Team Formed

A Pastor Search Team is voted on by the church.

The team prepares to meet with the candidates that Chemistry Staffing will present.
Step 6 – Top Candidates Presented

3–5 top candidates are presented to us by Chemistry Staffing.
Step 7 – Top Candidate Selected

The Pastor Search Team interviews and, after prayer and consideration, determines a top candidate to present to the church.
Step 8 – Reference and Background Checks
-
Reference and background checks are done on the top candidate.
Step 9 – Compensation and Presentation Date Set

The Pastor Search Team agrees on compensation with the candidate.

A date is set for the candidate to be presented to the church.
Step 10 – Candidate Weekend Visit

The candidate and family come for a weekend to meet the church and teach on a Sunday morning.

After the Sunday morning service, the church votes on the candidate the Pastor Search Team has recommended.
Step 11 – New Pastor Transition
-
A date is set for when the candidate will move to our area and begin serving as our new Senior Pastor.
Step 12 – Follow-up and Support

Chemistry will check in with us at 3-, 6-, and 12-month intervals to see how things are going.
